MLK Day

Happy MLK day. We are lazy, lounging in our PJ's and watching a movie. It is COLD, did I mention that. Highs this weekend were mid 30's to low 40"s and the wind chill, oh! This week we will look for icy rain and maybe snow tomorrow and again Thursday and Friday. BURRRRRR!

We are all doing great. Had a lovely visit with Auntie Im! She came Friday noon and left Sunday afternoon. Girls were just thrilled to have her visit as were Kipper and I. We hung out, ate, played games, did puzzles and watched movies.....just a perfect friend filled weekend, especially given the COLD temperatures!

Ready for our next guests....hint, hint. I was thinking Presidents weekend is a 3 day weekend, someone should come see us!!!!

Kipper is settled into his routine for the most part. Traveling a bit to SA, Dallas, Tampa and wherever they need him. He is surviving the cold, even changed a flat tire in 22 degrees on Friday...remember his road side assistance when he got to the office! UGH.

I begin training with a trainer at the gym tomorrow, hope he does not kick my butt! Actually I hope he does! We will meet twice a week for 4 weeks straight, then evaluate and see what will be next. I am sure I will find a way to throw another massage into the mix somewhere! Still not meeting a bunch of Mom;s yet, but have a new mom dinner in a week for JENKS SE mom's. Also found a book group to try through the Junior League Sustainers. Reading Atonement and look forward to that Feb 19th. Otherwise, my biggest struggle is the grocery store here SUCK so big time!!! nice grammar. I hate them all. My best choice is Wal-Mart Super Center. HEB, PLEASE COME TO TULSA!!!!!!!!

Ok, off to make breakfast for the girls. Happy MLK Day....God Bless the ones who made our path more pleasant in today's world. Peace to all this day in his memory.

I can't find it

Well, I am to the point in my unpacking that I am beginning to lose motivation. I can't find this and I can't find that....one thing I really can't find is the cord for the camera to hook up to the computer so I can download photos...very frustrating.......I have a dozen little boxes and piles to sort and purge...many are things I should have made trash before we ever got here but failed to handle! YUCK. I wish now there was a magic move in wand to make it happen, where is Broom Hilda or My Fairy Godmother when I need her!
Otherwise, it is Friday. Day five a of good week. Girls have enjoyed school everyday and made new friends each day. Addison went to Brownies yesterday and loved the group and I loved the leader! She is so cool, little liberal and a lot REAL! Made me laugh out loud! Campbell has also found a group that will meet next week on Wednesday. I joined the gym, as mentioned and worked out twice this week, between my massage and manicure/pedicure outings! Kipper has a parking space, card key and even a company t-shirt and pen! Not to mention a travel schedule and meeting set yup for the next month! All in all we are finding our way together and as individuals....it seems to be going well all around! Next week we have an electrician and plumber coming to resolve the "no gas in the kitchen for our gas cook top" issue. Previous owner is making it right and we are giving her the glass electric cook top here now...all is fair and all are happy! So next week I may just turn gourmet! Or at least boil water without it going over! After that, the projects are done for now. We will look into tile for the baths in master and girls room, hate the carpeted bath! Maybe look at some paint eventually for a couple places, but it is pretty good as is, except the ugly wallpaper in a few spots....it is livable for sure.
Now I need to hear from you all about a visit! Book now and get the bonus package!!!!! Thanks for all the mail from everyone to the girls, they love it! Happy Weekend...photos will come eventually! This one is from my Mom the day we left SA!
